User Modes
The following user modes are available on DareNET.

| +a | | Denotes a server administrator on the network, and grants a few extra privileges. |
| +d | Deaf | Prevents you from receiving channel messages. |
| +g | | Receives debug notices (if debugmode enabled). |
| +i | Invisible | Prevents users who do not know your exact nickname from finding you through /WHO. |
| +I | | Prevents users from seeing your idle time in /WHOIS replies. |
| +k | | Denotes a network service, preventing them from being kicked/killed/deoped. |
| +n | | Prevents users from seeing what channels you're in, in /WHOIS replies. |
| +N | | Denotes a network administrator on the network, and grants a few extra privileges. |
| +o | | Denotes an IRC operator on the network, and grants a few extra privileges. |
| +O | | Denotes a local operator, and grants a few extra privileges. |
| +P | | Allows you to see when a user performs a /WHOIS on you. |
| +R | Registered-only privmsg | Prevents non-authed users from private messaging you. |
| +s | Server notices | Receives server notices. See SNOMASKs for more information. |
| +w | Wall messages | Allows you to see important notices about the status of the network from staff. |
| +x | Hostmasking | Enables hostmasking. Note, you must be authed to N for it to take affect. |
