Command Help for AWAY | Commands Listing |
Syntax: AWAY :[message] |
Without the [message] argument, it will set you as being present/back (e.g., no longer away). With the [message] argument, it will set you as being AWAY. The message you specified will be shown in any WHOIS requests for your nickname. |
Example:> sample.ca.us.darenet.org AWAY :This is my away message! <- :sample.ca.us.darenet.org 306 JohnDoe :You have been marked as being away -> sample.ca.us.darenet.org AWAY <- :sample.ca.us.darenet.org 305 JohnDoe :You are no longer marked as being away |
NOTE: All example outputs are shown in raw form, which means they have not been formatted by the IRC client. What is shown by your IRC client may differ slightly. Lines prefixed with '->' indicate input by the user (e.g., the command being issued to the server), while '<-' denotes the reply returned by the server. |
