Here is a brief reference guide designed for DareNET's support staff.

What is the max number of users that a person can add to ChanServ userlist?

200.

What is the max number of bans a that person can add to ChanServ banlist?

100.

What is the max length that a greet may be?

120.

What is the max length that a userinfo may be?

400.

How should we request removal of OperServ from a channel?

Simply contact any IRC operator.

How much channels can one own at a single time

Up to Fifteen (15) channels may be registered per account.

How often can one change his/her password?

Every Three (3) days.

What is the hard limit for max logins to NickServ?

Four (4) max, anything over that they must obtain a Account Trust.

How much (untrusted) concurrent connections can one have from a single IP/Host?

Five (5) max, anything over that they must obtain a Trust.

How long is the duration of a G-line for exceeding the session limit?

One (1) Hour.

How long does a gag (service ignore) last for failed auth attempts

Thirty (30) Minutes.

Can a channel owner give ownership to another user the same day he/she registers it?

No. The current owner will have to wait out the 24 hour period.

Who can see other helpers' stats?

Only trainers and higher.

What does ?block do?

It places a one (1) hour G-line on a host based on the nickname given.

How long must you leave a channel before the infoline set with .uset info will show?

Thirty (30) Seconds.

What is #staff?

It is a staff channel for network helpers and above.

How do we check for the duration of a G-line manually?

/gline *@IP
/OperServ UTIME <the_long_number_you_get>

mIRC users could alternatively use: //echo $asctime(the_long_number_you_get)

What are the commands which +H can use and +h can't?

/ns rename, /ns oset email|password, /ns ounregister, /ns oregister, /ns delnote, /cs search, /cs merge and using ChanServ commands on +i/k/s channels or channel where you lack access.

How can you see everyone's weekstart?

/helpserv helpers

How long does it take for a cookie to expire?

One (1) Day or Twenty Four (24) Hours.

What is the minimum access level needed to set normal ChanServ notes?

200 for some and the .set setters level (400 by default) for other notes.

How do we see the banlist from outside the channel if we have no access?

/mode #channel +b

What is the maximum number of channels that a user can join?

50 channels.

What is the maximum amount of bans in a banlist?

100. (If you use .addban when the ban list is full, the ban will be added to .lamers but it won't be triggered unless another ban is removed.)

What is the maximum length a nickname can be?

30 characters.

What is the maximum number of characters allowed in a channel topic or kick message?

250 characters.

What is the maximum number of characters allowed in an away message?

250 characters.

What should we use to check an IP for allowauth if it doesn't resolve via /dns?

How do you find out a channel's creation date?

Type /mode #channelname. It is not necessarily the same as the date the channel is registered on.

You will get something like this in your status window:

"#channelname created on Tue Oct 02 10:49:58 2007"

Will the IRCd sourcecode or other sourcecodes be available for download to the public?

The code base of the IRCd we're using can be downloaded on sourceforge.net. However, we have forked from it and modified it some to allow us to provide a better experience for our users. These modifications are not public and will most likely never be published. The same goes for our services.

How long does it take for a nickname to expire?

Assuming vacation (+f) or no-delete (+n) is NOT set on the account then after One (1) Month or Thirty (30) Days of inactivity. If vacation is set on the account then the nickname will not expire.

How long does it take for a channel to expire?

Assuming NoDelete is NOT set on the channel then after One (1) Month or Thirty (30) Days of inactivity.

How often can one change his/her title?

Every Two (2) Weeks or Fourteen (14) Days.</code>.
