We have created a few server-side aliases to make account management quicker, easier and more secure.

In This Guide:

AUTH / IDENTIFY

To authenticate to your account, you may use one of the following aliases:

  • /NickServ AUTH <account> <password>
  • /NS AUTH <account> <password>
  • /AUTH <account> <password>
  • /IDENTIFY <account> <password>
  • /ID <account> <password>

Changing your Password

To change your account password, you may use one of the following aliases:

  • /NickServ PASS <oldpassword> <newpassword>
  • /NS PASS <oldpassword> <newpassword>
  • /NPASS <oldpassword> <newpassword>

Reseting your Password

To reset your account password, you may use one of the following aliases:

  • /NickServ RESETPASS <account> <newpassword>
  • /NS RESETPASS <account> <newpassword>
  • /RESETPASS <account> <newpassword>

Complete Cookie

To complete any process that requires you to supply a cookie back to NickServ, you may use one of the following aliases:

  • /NickServ COOKIE <account> <cookie>
  • /NS COOKIE <account> <cookie>
  • /COOKIE <account> <cookie>


While use of these aliases are optional, it is encouraged as it ensures the above information is only ever sent to the correct service. In this case, NickServ.
