DareNET is committed to providing a safe and stable environment for our users to chat in; however, this is no substitute for parental supervision of minors. Below is a list of sites with good information for parents to ensure their kids are chatting safely and properly.
- GetNetWise: this public service is your one stop for helpful guides, blocking/filtering tools, how to report trouble, safe sites for kids, etc.
- FBI Library - Parent's Guide to Internet Safety: this short pamphlet from the FBI covers the safety issues with general suggestions.
- America Links Up: another broad coalition providing overall information, not as thorough as GetNetWise but uniquely offers teach-in events and discussion boards.
- Safe Kids: yet another overall help site, a little harder to navigate but has well written articles.
