DareNET has multiple services bots. They must currently connect to the network as servers in order to do their work, and generally there is only one service with a given name on the network. The proposal here is to implement the special client type known as a service with some special characteristics. One of the most important is that multiple service connections may advertise a single name under which they might be accessed. This could enable redundancy--link ChanServ to all of the hubs, and ChanServ will continue to be available even if there's a major net split. Another feature to be associated with services is that ChanServ could act on a channel without needing to be present on the channel or the use of b-lines.
