Network owned channels are registered to the ''DareNET'' account, with the Executive Board reserving the right to administrate these channels, or delegate such authority to a specific individual or team. These channels are intended to be family-oriented, so users are expected to behave in a civil manner. This means no name calling or swearing. It shall be understood that occasionally a word will slip out; however, if this happens frequently a ban may be permitted. The network owned channels are not the place to test your IRC scripts. If you feel you must do this, please use your own channel.

Network owned channels are registered to the DareNET account, with the Executive Board reserving the right to administrate these channels, or delegate such authority to a specific individual or team. These channels are intended to be family-oriented, so users are expected to behave in a civil manner. This means no name calling or swearing. It shall be understood that occasionally a word will slip out; however, if this happens frequently a ban may be permitted. The network owned channels are not the place to test your IRC scripts. DareNET currently operates four (4) official network channels, which are as follows:

In This Guide:

#DareNET

This is our virtual lobby. It is not a help channel (see #Support below). Anyone is welcomed to join and participate in the fun. Discussion ranges from the technical to the trivial.

NOTE: Channel operators in this channel aren't necessarily network staff members as well.

#Support

This is DareNET's primary help channel, and is monitored by staff. Users may obtain help with all things DareNET, including general IRC assistance. Additionally, this is also where channel registrations are requested.

NOTE: Idling is not permitted in this channel. Additionally, upon entering #support, you should tell HelpServ a short description of your problem. This is important because it enables the staff member to gather the appropriate information before needing to talk to you for further information.

For example:

/msg HelpServ I forgot my password and tried using RESETPASS, but I'm not receiving the e-mail.
My account name is JoeUser.

#Routing

This channel is maintained by the Routing Team, and is where individuals can obtain assistance with link applications, or other technical issues relating to DareNET.

#Abuse

This channel is maintained by the Abuse Team, and is where any staff related abuse can be reported please keep generic abuse complaints such a user floods etc in #Support.
